Soccer or Wrestling: LCHS to hold public hearings

As part of Logan County High School’s annual Title IX / Gender Equity audit/review process, we will be conducting two public hearings for student in the Logan County Schools who would be interested in participating in the sport(s) of soccer and wrestling. These meetings are to gauge the level of interest in these programs at the present time. Both sports do not allow middle school students to participate on the varsity level. However, the level of interest among our middle school students is critical as we map out any plans for the further addition of other sports.

#1—SOCCER MEETING

Students enrolled in grades 5 -10 in the Logan County Schools who are interested in participating in a soccer program within the guidelines of the Logan County Schools are invited to attend one of two public forums to discuss the issue.

These meetings will be held on Monday, March 9th and Thursday, March 12th beginning at
6 pm at Logan County High School. Interested parties are asked to enter the building at the main front doors and follow the signs to the meeting site.

#2—WRESTLING MEETING

Students enrolled in grades 7 -11 in the Logan County Schools who are interested in participating in a wrestling program within the guidelines of the Logan County Schools are invited to attend one of two public forums to discuss the issue.
